Roy Hamilton The Definitive '50s Singles Collection

One of the most influential artists of the 1950s in the R&B field gets the full singles As & Bs treatment for the first time ever. Includes his original hit recordings of the all time classic songs 'Unchained Melody', 'Ebb Tide' 'Hurt' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Elvis Presley was also a huge fan and recorded many of these songs throughout his career including the b side 'I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Cry' very early in his career. Hamilton's semi operatic style was the inspiration for other performers like Jackie Wilson in the '50s and The Righteous Brothers in the '60s.
