Shiverin' and Shakin': Hop Rockers and Sleazy Instros

Shiverin-and-shakin Challenge Records Part One: 1958-65.

Part One of this Challenge Records series is a 28 track tune stack on the turntable that is 100% solid Rock from the early 60's. It is a mixture of classics and obscurities with the emphasis very much on the rocking, leavened with a few sleazy instros, with at least a half dozen tracks here that haven't been on legitimate CD before.

Compiled by Alec Palao, who has personally been in the vaults to seriously scour the Challenge label archives for every gem going. Includes cuts from Bobby Bare, Jerry Arnold, The Champs, The Four Teens and more. The liner notes contain a good-sized interview with Kim Fowley.
