My guess is that most of you are familiar with Linda Hopkins from her duets with Jackie Wilson, for example the dancefloor filler 'I found love'. This CD features her blues-shouting roots recording with Johnny Otis
for Savoy, powerful performances written and produced by the emergent Leiber & Stoller in Los Angeles, then rocking blues from Kansas City and New York, the latter featuring ace guitarist Mickey Baker, and
rock n roll sides from 1957 featuring drummer Panama Francis - Linda in vibrant vocal form on both shouters and ballads.
A very nice compilation from Shout Records, featuring very rare tracks now in CD format for the first time.
