Recently released on DVD, this is newly discovered footage - with sound! - of Elvis Presley performing six songs including 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'and 'Don't Be Cruel' live in Mississippi 1956. This limited edition release also includes a 1957 interview with Elvis, a DVD audio section that includes 21 tracks from the Tupelo concerts and a 200-page book.

Also first ever London show for bluesbusters The Bottleneckers who play authentic rockin electric blues, including dancefloor faves like Betty James's 'A little mixed up'. Just as great as Ruth Brown and Lavern Baker, Big Maybelle was one of the best female R&B artists of the 1950s. On this here album you get all her Okeh and Savoy Recordings, 1952 to 1956. Among the 28 tracks you will find her version of Whole Lot of Shakin' Goin' On, recorded some two years before Jerry Lee Lewis did the song.
The title tune of this compilation, I've Got a Feelin', is much sought-after r'n'b record these days.
Mabel Louise Smith was only 47 when she slipped into a diabetic coma and passed away in a Cleveland hospital in 1972. At least we have this cd as a way to remember the legendary blues belter Big Maybelle.
